Kelly Hamblin & Michael Benedict’s goal for their wedding weekend was fun! They started off by throwing a welcome party for all of their guests, who came from across the globe to celebrate with them. With their closest family & friends staying with them in the large bed & breakfast property they rented for the weekend, we used a catering company to compliment the crawfish their local friends boiled for the event. Giant Jenga, Connect Four & other games provided entertainment as well as the swimming pool & amazing craft cocktails provided by the venue.
On the wedding day, their ceremony under the oaks in City Park was unfortunately threatened by rain. We ended up scrapping the plan to drape fabric in the grand old oaks and instead they dashed for cover in between torrential rain bands. Guests gathered in a circle around them as they recited their vows & sealed their wedding with Michael smashing the glass as guests yelled, “Mozel Tov”!
Guests then enjoyed fresh, hot beignets & champagne while cooling themselves with fans that showcased a chicken & pig (plays off their last names for “ham and eggs”). Guests were then given wrist bands & bused to Jazz Fest for a day full of fun & music!
