Deepa & Titus

Deepa & Titus had a strong vision for their shaadi including bringing together their two cities:  the Pink City (Jaipur) & the Big Easy (New Orleans).  They wanted a garden feel in downtown New Orleans so the Four Seasons was the perfect fit with their gorgeous private garden right along the Mississippi River.  They used the garden theme and integrated table linens from BBJ that spoke to Deepa’s design aesthetic.  She was also very excited to incorporate a greenery and floral elephant, which Hummingbird expertly executed!  Friday night’s sangeet & henna night kicked off the festivities followed by a Hindu shaadi, cocktail hour and reception on Saturday.  Drink stirrers at the cocktail hour featured their beloved family dog and a fleur de lis which we incorporated throughout the printed items & design.  During cocktail hour guests selected hand painted oyster shells with their names on them as their escort cards to guide them to their dinner table.  Guests then danced through the halls to the dining ballroom led by a traditional New Orleans second line band.  The reception featured a circular bar with a two tier stage sitting inside it that featured a live drummer and their DJ perched high on top.  The print on the bar front as well as the photo booth backdrop both matched their invitation suite as well as other printed materials.  This was definitely a weekend that guests will talk about for years to come!
